Hazel de Silva Jewellery
If you don’t know your ring size, here’s an easy way to find out. Wrap a piece of paper around your chosen ring finger. Make sure the paper is comfortably tight around the finger, then mark with a pen where the 2 ends meet and measure the distance in mm. This is the circumference. Match this measurement in mm on the chart below to the nearest UK ring size letter.
14mm = size h
15mm = size i
16mm = size j
16.2mm = size k
16.5mm = size l
16.9mm = size m
17.2mm = size n
17.5mm = size o
18mm = size p
18.5mm = size q
18.8mm = size r
How to measure your wrist for a bangle. Using a flexible tape measure, wrap it around the widest part of your palm, with your thumb folded into your palm. Write this measurement down in cm and send it to us and we will make your bangle to that size.
We use a lovely chain to complement all our pendants & necklaces called a Belcher chain. These are measured in inches. The chart below will show you approximately where the chain length sits when worn.
Looking after your silver jewellery
Hazel de Silva Jewellery enjoys being worn but it also needs to be handled with a little care, so we recommend you should:
Store your jewellery in a box or pouch away from other items of jewellery as different metals can react and cause tarnish
When getting dressed, put your jewellery on last as scent, lotions and hairspray can also tarnish silver
Never wear your silver jewellery when swimming or showering as silver hates moisture
Take care not to knock rings or bangles as the metal may dent
When travelling, pack your jewellery in a box or pouch to protect it
Keep your jewellery clean by using a polishing cloth when necessary
Taking a little care now will ensure your silver jewellery will last a lifetime.
